We can add this to the list of recent skybooms around the US and world. The latest is in South Jersey and reports came in from Galloway, Franklin and Wild Crest. I mapped it and the area covers around 100 miles on the coast and inland.
The difference this time is the boom was accompanied by shaking. This would imply seismic activity but the USGS reports none occurred. The military has not taken blame either.
Update Insert 4/3/12: Here is another video recording from the same time by a different person. It’s strange but is it explainable?
——————–
The above video, posted on a popular conspiracy site, has the theorists in a tizzy. All sorts of fantastical explanations are being thrown around with my favorite being, “a test for a loudspeaker for Project Blue Beam”.
For those of you who don’t know, Project Blue Beam is the belief that NASA will create a big “space show” with three-dimensional holographic laser projections in the sky. The projections will be of a speaking multi-lingual Anti-Christ. I would imagine you need some bad-ass audiophile speakers for this.
This long titled video called, “Strange Sounds in the sky over Clearfield, Utah March 16th 2013 (03-16-13)” features a new kind of “strange sound”.
The witness says that just before noon, after a trip from the bank, he heard this odd sound and grabbed his cell phone just in time! It gave him a headache but he isn’t sure it’s related. Until now he thought the sky sounds were a crock but now he is a true believer. He posts a plea for anyone else who might have heard it to message him immediately.
One of the followers of this website found an interesting article regarding “strange sounds” from 1869.
This article is from something called Proceedings—The Meteorological Society, 1869. It appears to be letters sent to this association describing “strange sound” experiences.
See! People were hearing weird things 140 years ago. Maybe these booms, etc. are cyclical and that’s why we haven’t heard of them until recently.
When I read these letters I was amused at how these people go into elaborate descriptions of what they heard, comparing the sounds to all sorts of things.
So I got this bright idea to post excerpts of the letters along with whatever video I could find to illustrate the description.
In spring of 2011, residents of Windsor, Ontario, Canada began hearing and feeling unexplained humming and vibrating noises. Currently the source can’t be positively located.
It’s described as an idling diesel engine that keeps people awake at night. Some people have claimed it can cause physical symptoms. The noises is said to happen mostly late at night or early morning.
Here is a great video of tormented residents.
An older interview is here. A woman describes it as rattling the picture on her wall.
An earlier government study claimed the vibrations were coming from Zug Island, an industrial area right across the US border from Windsor. See here. Zug Island is a highly secure and guarded island protected by the US government. Some Youtube videos that someone made showing a sound meter pointed toward the island have been removed. I would imaging it’s illegal to point anything at a government protected facility. In certain places in the US you can’t even take pictures of bridges.
According to this article here, The University of Windsor is now doing a government funded study using something called a pentangular array. The device will concentrate on tracing the low frequency of the hum. The study will take 10 months to complete. Since a previous study suggested Zug Island, what will be done if the array proves it to be the source. I seriously doubt anything will be done at all.
It’s not like I’m old but with age comes wisdom (for some of us). One thing that has become increasingly clear in my life is that “sh**t happens”. It’s a cliche phrase but it’s also a way of looking at life.
Recently I’ve been struck by how weird things are getting in terms of undeniable earth changes occurring in the world. The world changes all the time but I see an acceleration in these events.
My Youtube addiction includes subscriptions from Jenna Marbles to Shielaaliens. It also includes many channels offering news compilations covering all sorts of catastrophic world events from floods to earthquakes. The earth is changing, has always changed and will continue to change. I accept this and until recently have dismissed these stories as examples of what has always happened since the beginning.
However, I’ve recently changed my opinion. As I watch the news compilations I have begun to notice words like “rare”, “unprecedented” and “extreme”. Often interviewed witnesses and newscasters will say things like “I have never seen anything like it” or “What are the chances…”.
One person in particular I like to follow is Youtuber fidockave213. Once a month he shows us all the scary stuff going on in the world complete with scary music and Bible verses. I have always watched them partly out of morbid fascination akin to watching a train wreck. These are meant to scare you but they are the real deal. WARNING: Watch if you dare. You will be creeped out.
Russian Meteor
So what is all this commentary leading up to? Well the Russian meteor that occurred a few weeks ago got me thinking about sky booms. There have been many, many recorded fireballs over the past few years, often with sonic booms. What is unusual about the Russian meteor is the damage it caused. That’s something you don’t see with these fireballs.
I will cut to the chase. I started documenting strange sounds in 2011 and covered many types of strange sound videos. Occasionally I would find some with news clips covering “loud booms”. Apparently loud booms have been happening for some time. The only difference is that it appears to be happening a lot more lately! I see this going hand in hand with the accelerating bizarre weather events we’ve been experiencing from record temperatures, drought, unseasonal tornadoes, thousand mile hurricanes, extreme snow storms, more 8.0 earthquakes than ever and the list goes on. These things have always happened but not to this degree in recorded history. It’s the frequency and severity that one can’t help noticing.
All of the past “strange sounds”, while recorded events, are not usually supported by widespread news stories. The ones that sound like venting factories, jet roaring, metallic scraping, etc. do not bother me at all. They are probably something not so strange. But the constant reports of booming happening everywhere is something you can believe.
No One Knows
Booms are happening all over the world and people are trying hard to explain them. They say oh it’s sonic booms, earthquakes, meteors, etc. But then they can’t find any recorded sources, like military exercises or earthquakes. Continue Reading
Well this is certainly confusing. Here is a video claiming the strange sound heard in NYC before Sandy was the wind going thru the top of the new Freedom Tower.
Wind through the Freedom Tower makes sense. The top is open allowing the strong hurricane wind to vibrate the beams. The architects had better hope the design of this building doesn’t make it a tuning fork.
So what are these two videos from Toronto and an unknown location not in the city about? Toronto has tall buildings but not as tall as Freedom Tower and I doubt any new construction is open at the top. Why would the sound, however subtle, be in a rural area.
It is not likely these two videos were faked given they were filmed during the storm. Maybe it’s a coincidence, maybe it’s warning sirens in the distance, maybe they are dubbed. Until another convincing Sandy sound video surfaces I’m calling this case closed.
Not a whole lot of “strange sound” videos out there. Actually there are tons, but they are mostly fakes. They include full stereo overlays, copies of Kiev, copies of War of the Worlds, people recording things that cannot be heard, people recording machinery, people reposting really good examples from last year and claiming it just happened…and on and on. I was hoping the constant stream of bogus “strange sound” videos had stopped since last year, but no….
The most convincing recordings are the Sandy sounds. This is because they were recorded in three places by three people at the same approximate time. Hard to fake that. We’re paying close attention to this particular noise because it has no precedent.
Maybe There Really is a Post-Sandy Strange Sound, Maybe Not
This video below was shot in Illinois on November 6th and has the simple description of “Never hear this before, can someone tell me what it might be?”. They have no other related videos and no mention of HAARP anywhere. Initially I dismissed it as a siren but then my curiosity was piqued as I wondered whether it was similar to the Pre-Sandy sounds. It is a very poor recording obviously done on a cheap phone and if it was a fake they would have done a better job. I’ve compared it to all three Pre-Sandy videos below and maybe it is the same. It has a similar pitch and is constant. Maybe it’s a stretch but it’s now documented here. What can I say, there is nothing else out there to analyse.
Compare it to the Pre-Sandy sound in Toronto.

plus: sounds genuine, person has no related posts on YT, bad recording, simple curiosity, no mention of HAARP, no label with the word “strange”, categorized under gaming (lol), he likes games. minus: Short, could be anything
Are they the same?

PRE-SANDY
By the way, perhaps I was too judgmental of the deleted video from Moose Jaw in the post below. Maybe she deleted it because she didn’t want the attention. It did seem real. The author had no other related videos.

Trippy/Strange/Weird Clouds and Noise
This video below filmed in New Zealand on November 8th is a bit hard to describe. The author says “Clouds looked much more trippy/strange/weird than the footage makes out but what is that noise? There is no heavy traffic near by and cars don’t even sound like that haha plus it sounded like it was coming from above.”
If you turn up the volume and listen carefully about half way through you hear the Pre-Sandy sound. Compare it to the New York recording below it. At first I couldn’t tell what sound he was talking about and then I realized what it was. And also the clouds are completely natural and referred to as Cirrocumulus clouds.
Believability Scale:| | | | | | | | | |
plus: person has no related posts on YT, apologizes for quality. minus: Mention of HAARP, label with the word “strange”, ran around Youtube asking people like Sheilaaliens to look at the video, has a user name with the word Aliens in it and seems hellbent on promoting it.
POST-SANDY You can really hear the similarity at the 20 second mark.

No Strange Sound but Very Strange
This is unrelated but the most bizarre lightning I have ever seen. It looks kind of like sheet lightning but on crack. This video was recorded November 3rd somewhere in the US. The weird sky event caused the witness extreme anxiety. I can see why! This silent lightning went on for over three hours.
