windsor canada sounds

I’m usually careful about making any connections between UFOs and “strange sound” videos. I see no reason to make the leap because there is no evidence. This time however, it makes sense to at least mention it.

Gilbert, Peroria, Scottsdale

For some background on this, please see the post “Three of a Kind” here. We’ve documented two “strange sound” events in Gilbert, and one in Scottsdale, Arizona. These sky events make no sense because they’re different types of noises that have occurred in close proximity and approximate date.

Insert 1/13:  Are they flares? Would any readers who are military people care to guess?

Insert 2: Well, here is the very famous Phoenix Lights video. These do the same thing as the video above. They appear and disappear in formation. This is from 1997. Were those flares too?

Insert 3: Here is the answer. From the comments:

I live in buckeye, az and I’ve seen these lights for the past 5 months south of the I 10. I am an air force vet and very familiar with the 16s that fly around here and the flares they discharge after flying their sorties. These lights r not flares or ball lightening because they are in formation. They appear as if on a dimmer switch and disappear the same. Strange. I don’t know what they r.

Now we have some more craziness in the area known as The Valley of the Sun, this time in Peoria, Arizona. A very convincing video of strange lights above this area has surfaced. These lights were seen February 9th and witnessed by several people. The lights can be seen clearly.

While hanging out with friends at an ice cream shop, the witness noticed what appeared to be a slow shooting star. The “star” changed directions. You can see in the video these aren’t meteors.

From the video description:

The video makes it hard to see, but all three of the objects had a short tail and were slowly drifting or “dancing” back and forth. I was freaking out and inadvertently drawing a lot of attention (as can be heard in my video). There were other witnesses in the parking lot, a couple of ladies are seen asking us what they were in the video. Before I started filming, another group of people wrote off the objects as being, “just meteors”. The objects clearly were not meteors.

Insert 1/15: Some interesting info here. An earthquake offshore in Oregon. The largest on record. Link is here.

Have you missed me? Well, it’s back to normal for “strange sound” videos. The internet was so flooded with fakes, it was like looking for a needle in a haystack for what I believe to be genuine sky events. Back to normal means people have slowed down on making these crap fakes. It’s a bit easier now but it also means fewer videos. Before the Conklin mess, I found a video maybe every few days and a super convincing one every few weeks. Now we get down to the business of cataloguing somewhat convincing videos. After the post below in Oregon it’s going to be pretty hard to top, but I’m sure something will pop up that rivals it.

As you may recall a few weeks ago I did a post on a mystery rumble in Sooke, Vancouver Island here. The rumble was deemed atmospheric in origin by seismologist. A witness claimed it was so intense that her bed actually shifted. Also here is the official explanation tracing the sound to military industry in Sequim, Washington.

Then I did a piece on “sky roaring” in Whidbey Island, Washington here. I think we may finally be hearing what these rumbles sound like in the video below.

Filmed in Skagit County, Washington State on February 9th, the person filming this event says the rumble lasted for 10 minutes and was much louder the night before. The rumble is fairly continuous and doesn’t sound like thunder to me. That the same rumble occurred two nights in a row makes it less likely to be thunder. It could be, but I think she wouldn’t have bothered recording it if it really sounded like thunder.

She appears to have started filming inside her house and you can hear it clearly. She then steps outside continuing to record it. If you start at the 5:40 mark it’s quite loud. Turn up your volume. She remarks that it’s very loud. I suspect it was loud and the camera didn’t pick it up that well. Listen for the persistent rumble over the wind sound.

Cascadia Subduction Zone

INSERT 1/9: Thank you Moriah from the comments! Great idea here. She suggested rumbling from something called the Cascadia subduction zone. From wiki:

The Cascadia subduction zone (also referred to as the Cascadia fault) is a subduction zone, a type of convergent plate boundary that stretches from northern Vancouver Island to northernCalifornia. It is a very long sloping fault that separates the Juan de Fuca and North Americaplates.

New ocean floor is being created offshore of Washington and Oregon. As more material wells up along the ocean ridge, the ocean floor moves toward and beneath the continent.

Wow, industry sure is loud these days. Lots of “snoring” factories in the world.

As you may recall, a very strange sky sound was recorded in Kota Samarahan, Malaysia, that residents described as “snoring”. The original article by the Borneo Post Online will give you background here. The incident occurred Jan 11th and 12th. You can also read the original post here.

In an article from the Borneo Post entitled Rumble just sound from palm oil mill, after all, the official government explanation is covered. As I reported previously, the Malaysian government began to take the incident seriously when it became a viral media sensation.

I’m pretty sure the US and Canada governments would never take sounds recorded in YT videos or witness accounts very seriously. However, it was taken seriously by the Malaysian government because there seemed to be a certain amount of hysteria over the reports. This says to me the Malaysian government doesn’t mess around and seeks quell the fears of it’s citizens. Most of the fear came from the belief in something supernatural. I’m guessing, but I imagine the Borneo Post never expected the incident to be taken seriously.

The Malaysian National Space Agency and Meteorological Department did an investigation and the conclusion is that it’s industrial related. The article says:

The so-called ‘rumble in the sky’ over Kota Samarahan near here on Jan 11 and 12 was explained by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation as the whistling sound of steam released through a vent in a Felcra palm oil mill. It said the whistling sound was due to steam which the factory released to the air in the wee hours of Jan 11 and 12 when it was in operation.

About a year and a half ago residents of Windsor, Ontario, Canada began hearing and feeling very loud unexplained vibrations. The rumblings have become continuously stronger over time. More than 400 complaints have been registered with the Ministry of the Environment.

On the video below you can actually hear the humming at the 1:14 mark. Also there is some great info about this and other sounds.

Apparently scientists have pinpointed the source to Zug Island, which is a manmade heavy industry island in the City of River Rouge near Detroit.

Even though they have located the general vicinity of these airborne sounds, Rick Harding a consultant hired by the City of River Rouge says he doubts they will ever find the source. This is bad news for the residents of Windsor. I am sure we haven’t heard the last of this. I’m a bit skeptical that the source isn’t known. Perhaps Zug Island isn’t the source at all…

For the past three years residents in Calgary, Alberta, Canada have been plagued with a similar low-frequency humming. They too have been warned that an explanation may never be found. Calgary is 3000km from Windsor.

Even farther away, residents of Woodland, in County Durham, UK have recently started hearing the same mysterious humming sound.

Is there a connection between these three? I would think so, since they have all become a problem over the past few years. Do you see any connection between the hum, roar, boom and metallic scraping?
