Not a whole lot of “strange sound” videos out there. Actually there are tons, but they are mostly fakes. They include full stereo overlays, copies of Kiev, copies of War of the Worlds, people recording things that cannot be heard, people recording machinery, people reposting really good examples from last year and claiming it just happened…and on and on. I was hoping the constant stream of bogus “strange sound” videos had stopped since last year, but no….
The most convincing recordings are the Sandy sounds. This is because they were recorded in three places by three people at the same approximate time. Hard to fake that. We’re paying close attention to this particular noise because it has no precedent.
Maybe There Really is a Post-Sandy Strange Sound, Maybe Not
This video below was shot in Illinois on November 6th and has the simple description of “Never hear this before, can someone tell me what it might be?”. They have no other related videos and no mention of HAARP anywhere. Initially I dismissed it as a siren but then my curiosity was piqued as I wondered whether it was similar to the Pre-Sandy sounds. It is a very poor recording obviously done on a cheap phone and if it was a fake they would have done a better job. I’ve compared it to all three Pre-Sandy videos below and maybe it is the same. It has a similar pitch and is constant. Maybe it’s a stretch but it’s now documented here. What can I say, there is nothing else out there to analyse.
Compare it to the Pre-Sandy sound in Toronto.
plus: sounds genuine, person has no related posts on YT, bad recording, simple curiosity, no mention of HAARP, no label with the word “strange”, categorized under gaming (lol), he likes games.
minus: Short, could be anything

By the way, perhaps I was too judgmental of the deleted video from Moose Jaw in the post below. Maybe she deleted it because she didn’t want the attention. It did seem real. The author had no other related videos.

Trippy/Strange/Weird Clouds and Noise
This video below filmed in New Zealand on November 8th is a bit hard to describe. The author says “Clouds looked much more trippy/strange/weird than the footage makes out but what is that noise? There is no heavy traffic near by and cars don’t even sound like that haha plus it sounded like it was coming from above.”
If you turn up the volume and listen carefully about half way through you hear the Pre-Sandy sound. Compare it to the New York recording below it. At first I couldn’t tell what sound he was talking about and then I realized what it was. And also the clouds are completely natural and referred to as Cirrocumulus clouds.
plus: person has no related posts on YT, apologizes for quality.
minus: Mention of HAARP, label with the word “strange”, ran around Youtube asking people like Sheilaaliens to look at the video, has a user name with the word Aliens in it and seems hellbent on promoting it.

No Strange Sound but Very Strange
This is unrelated but the most bizarre lightning I have ever seen. It looks kind of like sheet lightning but on crack. This video was recorded November 3rd somewhere in the US. The weird sky event caused the witness extreme anxiety. I can see why! This silent lightning went on for over three hours.
Wow that lightning was creepy! Very strange how it just kept flashing like that with no sound.
The second lot of clips with the clouds and post Sandy do sound very much alike.

Just wanted it to be recorded that on Oct 16 / 2012, around 2:30 in the afternoon in Kelowna B.C. , I witnessed hearing these noises in the atmosphere.

Been following this site for about a year now, was a bit puzzled when it became a “private blog”, glad to see you back in the public domain.
Originally found you while looking for answers to a very low frequency pulsing, irregular hum that I’ve been hearing/feeling in the quiet of the night here in Christchurch, New Zealand. Started around the time the earthquakes began in late 2010 and can still hear it most nights, but my my family don’t hear it. Then I discovered some people here can hear it, but most can not.
I have since spent a huge amount of time researching earthquake anomalies, HAARP, and other wierd and wonderful things that relate to strange sounds both from the sky and from underground.
I have a huge list of pdf files and suchlike that I may pass on from time to time that may be of interest.
I’m sure many of the clips doing the rounds on youtube are bogus, and find your analases and comments helpful in sorting the wheat from the chaff. It’s rare to find a website devoted to a subject like this that maintains a sensible, balanced view: healthily skeptical yet open – minded.
