9 comments on “I Wonder if “Strange Sounds” Exist at All

  1. Living not far from an airport I dont think I will ever be lucky enough to experience a sky noise, as I always put any noise I hear down to that. Having looked on Utube, here in the UK, there have been a few noises experienced along the South coast where I am, but difficult to determine if they are anything or nothing. What I do know is that out weather has gone mad…+ 25 degrees one week (unheard of at the end of March) and then down to -5 and snow the next week. We have had no proper rain for months and already it has been classed as a drought in my area. In good old British style we moan about the weather endlessly, but people really are getting very concerned at the extremes… I think your right Jay, depressingly I think its the environment too, just wonder how long it finally going to take people to open their eyes and realise something is going on :(

I believe the earth is imploding. We have taken so much out of it, gravity will have its way and it does make noise when physical spaces close, movement being accelerated by climate, geological shifts, and if the pole shifts there will be more shifting of the core, mantle, and oceans. That being said, we are in the grip of the past events’ affects, we are experiencing the effects. I live in New Mexico, the elders have predicted this, we have 2 things to understand: nothing we can do now will change what is happening. Also, if we pull way back for perspective, this is meant to happen. i choose to live close to the stable earth and also choose to know that we, our choices now, are crucial or our attention would not be demanded on such a huge scale. These noises/changes/signs are all about something we already understand, ie, what we know as a way of life must change. What to do? Life will go on, but look at how it has had to adapt. We are going to have to adapt to something big changing that we have only read about in elementary schoolbooks. What if we have been chosen to live now for a reason, ie, what can we contribute? I am not a doomsday prepper. I am not an overzealous cult/religion member. I am a massage therapist who has received the call to come to this physical higher ground to be available with my gifts of healing so that any wounded in the shifts can be supported in their changes. We are called to change, pushed if we don’t take the call seriously.
If all that is said happens, each survivor will have something unique to contribute. Each of us see ourselves in true moments and know what we are capable of. Whatever the origin of the noises, I don’t care. Science, schmience, let’s take the call to higher ground and live better than we have.

  3. It doesn’t seem like you to state your biased opinion as fact like this… to say that these noises are so obviously the result of climate change is just as preposterous as saying they are the result of Easter Bunnies in the sky. It seems strange that you would make the leap from your typical, facts-only approach to such an unfounded shotgun-statement like this… especialy when there is zero evidence to support such a claim and plenty of evidence to the contrary…
…too many more posts like this and you’ll be walkin that line between journalist and fear-monger, like so many other internet sites… are you starting to slip on us?

  4. I didn’t imply that climate change is an impossible explanation, only that the tone of this post is drastically different from the typical for this blog. It seems difficult, if not entirely impossible, to say that you “simply present facts” and then argue that it’s okay for you to slant the discussion because you use magic words like “believe”, “think” and “thought” -simply because you “don’t know what you’re doing”. Just like starting a new job, the “i’m new” excuse only works for so long. That being said, I have no interest in arguing over beliefs, that doesn’t get anyone anywhere… perhaps I should bid SSITS farewell before climate change kicks my ass…

    • Ryan, I find that I agree with your approach more often than not… but I can’t say that this time. Jay keeps it as real as possible and the moment he brings up Climate Change… you’re all over him. He’s qualified previous guesses with “believe”, “think” and “thought” before and that hasn’t drawn your ire. Why is this different? I’m not going to guess as to why you’re so wound up about this particular topic… but pulling the “I’m gonna take my ball and go home” cop out the first time Jay says something you disagree with, is bad form bud.

Like I said, I’ve become accostomed to reading your thoughts on this site. I’d hate to see you bail becuause of semantics.

To paraphrase, 10 points from Gryffindor for hostility. :)
