Only my closest friends know that I write about this stuff and they think I’m a bit odd. My significant other told me if they had just met me and I told them I had a blog about “strange sound” videos, they would’ve ran for the door.
My favorite comics were Eerie and Tales from the Crypt here. This blog has made me wonder why I like weird things. The answer is, I don’t know I just do.
If you met me I’m a sensible, respectable figure that no one would guess has an interest in such things. In our society you’re often seen as a loon if you say you saw a UFO or ghost. So it’s best to keep that info to yourself if you know what’s good for you. Heck, in many circles it isn’t even acceptable to say you believe in God, who seems to have been banished to the realms of UFOs and ghosts. Belief in any of these things requires faith in their existence.
Perhaps my boring childhood on a farm contributed to wanting to experience or see something not everyday. I’m actually extremely jealous of anyone who has experienced a sky noise.
I like mystery and there is very little in the world these days. Humankind still has a lot to learn, but science has pretty much broken things down to atoms and evolution, all un-miraculously occurring without any help from anyone. It all becomes mundane.
So what compelled me to do it. Two reasons, it’s fun, I like to write and the other reason is something I have never shared with anyone.
MORE AFTER THE JUMP….
One day I was bored so I spent an afternoon on Youtube looking at Michelle Phan doing Lady Gaga makeup, baby Scottish Fold kittens and old clips of Batman. Videos here:
You can spend a whole afternoon going from one subject to the next when looking at videos. I saw in the right hand column a video posted by Sheilaliens (my favorite YT blogger) about UFOs below:
My interest shifted to UFOs and I was blown away by the bazzillion videos that people had posted of these strange floating orbs that appear everywhere. I only halfway believed in UFOs but the more I looked the more I became convinced that there must be something to them. I didn’t believe it until I saw this! Video below:
I found myself looking at the sky a lot in the hope I would see one of these orbs. My fascination grew and I spent lots of time looking at them.
On the afternoon of August 23rd I was looking at UFO videos and came across my first “strange sound” video here:
As I watched I started to break out in a sweat. I watched in horror as I listened to the lady warning her husband, calling 911 and praying to Jesus. I was a bit creeped out so I sent a text to a friend with a link. As we were chatting my house started to shake. At first I didn’t know what it was and I heard the walls creaking and popping. My desk and computer began to shake and I realized it was an earthquake.
Living on the east coast I didn’t think an earthquake was possible so I was momentarily confused. Sill freaked out about the Florida video I jumped to my feet and ran into the street where all my neighbors were already standing about. I was very upset by this and spent the rest of the day physically ill and frightened.
After this I scoured the internet for more “strange sound” videos. I discovered there were plenty and most were of the constant jet sound variety. Because I had recently taken a course in web development I learned how to create blogs. I thought to myself, now here is a subject I can write about. I’d never written before in any capacity, so I did my best. My earliest posts are pretty crappy.
To make a long story short, here I am writing about weird, crazy stuff all because of an earthquake. Please don’t tell anyone because they’ll think I’m a nut.
