You may recall yesterday’s post about “sky roars” in Dallas here. I had a spike in my WordPress stats with search terms for “weird noises” and “booms” in Dallas on the 14th. Well amazingly, and this is the point of this blog, reader sammygirly sent me a link to a sky event video from Fort Worth. The date on this video is from February 13th. It’s not an explosion but a “sky roar”. How bizarre is it that we have a “sky roar” the night before “explosion” sounds on the 14th. According to a reader comment from yesterday, the sound went from a boom to a jet noise. Interesting!
From the reader comments yesterday:
I live in Dallas, and while I did not hear the noise on the 13th, (sleeping), I DID hear a similar “roar” yesterday (2/14) around 8 or 9pm … (snip)… I assumed it was someone rolling their trash bin to the alley, but the sound lasted far too long, and trash pick-up is thursday. I thought then it might have been thunder; we were expecting rain the next day. The sound seemed too strange for that, either. … (snip)… It was as if bombs were going off in the distance. I’ve never heard anything like this. It seemed to be a mixture of sounds: fireworks, thunder, a trash bin being rolled, an airplane roar.
The noise continued for about 5 minutes straight, then it suddenly stopped, like it had been shut-off. It was then that the roar of the airplanes (usually constantly) flying over head became audible–and was distinctly different from what my neighbor and I had heard.

So we have made a HUGE discovery! Sky booms and constant jet noises “sky roars” are related. Wow.
The witness says he and his brother thought it was an airplane, but thought it was strange so they recorded it. It started at 10:10pm and ended at 10:47pm.
While they do label it the cliche “Strange Sounds, etc.”, they have crazy unrelated search terms. I’m pretty sure this is real. It’s got that weird pulsating echo that good sky roar videos have. It’s too bad it’s so short.
This one below is from October and it has the same pulsating jet sound. Compare the two.
