NOTE 12-8-11: This one is so amazing that I’m going to keep it as the first post for a while.
The YT poster says it lasted an hour and that it sounded like a jet hovering over a nearby pasture. He describes the noise as being so loud that it was hard to hear each other talk.
This is probably the most convincing sky roar we’ve seen. Constant, jetlike, and stops suddenly, it has all the characteristics of the ubiquitous roar. Unless he’s a great actor the witness is very disturbed by what he’s hearing. Please see the recent Florida sky roar example for some observations I’ve made about this phenomenon. Also here is another good example of a very loud roar in Russia. For more examples, look to the right under categories and click on “roaring sounds”.
As a final note I’m starting to wonder why these strange sky sounds are not attracting media or government attention. Something is not right.

I hear the same sounds as in this video almost every night. Sometimes it is so weak I can’t tell if it’s just a car driving by but some nights it is very very strong. I feel it on the ground if I touch it. Next time I hear it I will film it too.
By the way, there seem to be many fake videos out of Russia/Ukraine, like Lvov17. What a prankster. It is hard to prove these types of videos right or wrong as we are only talking about sounds here. I would think twice about any video out of Eastern Europe/Russia or with elaborate sounds.

Please do record any strange sounds and when you post them on youtube I will be happy to write a post if it seems convincing. I agree about the Russia ones. I think it’s worth discussing them however but I do so with a skeptical view. It’s hard to say if these are real as it is with all of them. Some of them I feel are very real and if they have a twin they help support each other. I have no doubt that this Tennessee one is real for the reasons I have stated but still it can’t be proven. As far as the Russian ones go if I can find other videos from other locations in the world I pay more attention. The scraping metal sounds seem to be mostly in Eastern Europe/Russia and South America, and they are harder for me to believe because the sounds are so odd. The Bucharest videos feel genuine but again, who knows. The purpose of this site is to observe and document without any conclusions other than my opinion. It is also meant to identify patterns. This is December 11th 2012 /Tuesday. Yesterday all day we hear sounds like jets but nothing. The sound does not move off it changes pitch slightly and abruptly stops. This has been going on for years here in Clearwater ,Florida . It used to be mostly around 2 am in the morning it would start..now is in the daytime and can hear it over traffic. I called the airport and they said nothing was reported …I don’t believe either they know what it is and not saying or they cannot be bothered. So for all the skeptics out there…it’s REAL* and it doesn’t show any signs of slowing down anytime soon. What it is ?…maybe HAARP. One day when it’s too late someone will come forward with what’s going on.
I submitted this video to my local TV website to see if their meteorologist staff could explain and to see if anyone else in the area heard or did not hear what we heard.

Can you contact me via email. I have a witness from my neighborhood/area. Actualy about 3 miles from me who also has reported supposedly hearing this on Dec 5′th. Also I, with the help of my more tech savy son have found this video on a .mil website???? The site is “forbidden” so I can’t access but it does surface on search engine and point to the .mil address. This same .mil adress does not appear in my you tube analytics as an embedded remote player?????
I heard the same thing on southside of Atlanta one morning, 2 or 3 weeks back – it went on for 20 or 25 minutes. It was cloudy, went outside but could not see anything – it was overhead like it was coming from everywhere – could not identify specific direction of the source.
Take a look at the historical info in the categories. I think this a natural phenomenon.

You are probably right – but it sounded very “un-natural” to me. I grew up hearing the DC-3′s, etc. warming up at the airport – it’s a lot bigger now and the taxi-ways further away. The only time I hear planes/jets now is when a storm forces their takeoffs off pattern and over our house – like, hardly ever. And while trains nearby do rumble and planes, due to weather, sound closer, it was something other – it was totally strange and too long lasting of a sustainted sound. It was inexplicable. Yes, it may have been a natural thing, then again, if it was a craft from elsewhere, that too would be natural in the sense it was an element affecting what I heard.

Today is the first time I have read that someone else is hearing what I have been for the last year or so. I’ve tried to dismiss it as jet noise coming from our little airport about 7 miles away, but the noise sounds so loud on some days that you would think you were on the tarmac with it. The longest it’s lasted in one stretch I would say is about 20 to 30 minutes but will be reoccurring throughout the day. It simply starts loud, no revving up, and stops suddenly. It sure would be nice to know what it is. I live north of Bellingham WA and the sound I hear is exactly the same from the Amarillo video.
That sounds very much lke my experience – haven’t heard it again – yet.
I just experienced this tonight in Moore, Oklahoma. I went outside to see what on earth could be making such a racket for so long. It seemed to be coming from the northeast and it was exactly like this video. Foggy, cold outside too. It was as if low flying jets managed to keep tight circles very close to my neighborhood for a while and later disappear (as in no doppler effect I could detect). For a while. This happened at least 4 times. A friend who lives near heard it too. Very strange.

My partner and I come from Shopshire in England. About two weeks ago we both heard strange noises in the sky at around 2am. It sounded like two metalic objects scraping against each other, or a heavy goods train slamming it’s brakes on full but a lot louder. When I saw a video on Youtube yesterday with the same noises in it I was totally shocked as was my partner. After hearing that, I knew that there is more to this than meets the eye. I think that 2012 is going to be an interesting year to say the least… too many strange coincidences happening… the weather, loads of different cultures and ancient civilizations around the world all pointing to roughly the same date, NASA scientists talking about major solar flares. There’s just too many ‘out of the ordinary’ things happening at once to say that it’s all coincidence. I’m not saying that the end is coming but I am stating that something is not ‘right’. My thoughts anyway! Thank you kindly for placing this web site online btw!
