Rumbling Sky Noise in Southern Colorado: Oct 19

Loud roar in Pueblo West, Colorado. This lasted about an hour.

UPDATE 10/27: This post now has 35,000 hits in a few days! Why? It seems no more significant than any of the other sky events.

I have definately been hearing it lately and I live in Pueblo West.
I began noticing the sound in December 2011.

Heard it on and off for the last hour here in Ithaca, NY. Called 911 and told no one else had done so. So freaking weird, and makes me wonder about folks. The roar is rattling our windows, and like other vids, the volume rises, falls, stops suddenly, but no doppler, and no clear directionality. Had a similar experience before with low flying fighters in hills. They rumble and rumble and one only catches the doppler when they actually fly through the valley youre standing in, and then theyre generally visible. This does seem different, but I cant be completely certain. With it coming from one side, from the other, pausing, staying completely ambient for several moments, beginning loudly without the rise of an approach, it just doesnt seem like a jet, or even several. And there it is now, as I type. I suspect someone out there knows what it is. Finding that person, and convincing them to talk… Maybe there is someone in the know somewhere on the web. Wow you don’t mess around. Must have been pretty scary to have called 911.
