Filmed in the UK.
My take: This sounds very much like the roar heard in the US. This noise contrasts with the metallic scraping sounds in the eastern hemisphere.

I am in Brittany,France.I have heard this sound many times but only when there is cloud cover.Today the 30th of January it was so invasive that I searched strange sounds in the sky on the internet and found the Florida video and this site.Next time I will keep my camera ready.I cannot say how often it has occurred as I do not keep note.I am a bit noise sensitive, hate hedge cutters etc so this really is a distraction.I have put it down to jet planes but it is a massive sound and lingers not fading away.I also thought it reminded me off when I used to wait for an underground train arriving out of the tunnel to the station. It is a shame there are people hoaxing as an explanation should be found.
Somebody sent our website this over the weekend. Check it out.
Thank you. I may want to cover this. But I need the exact written description and information he sent along with it. I’ll put a link to your website if I do decide to write about it.
I heard a very similar noise in Kent in the U.K. about 3 years ago. It was late at night and sounded like a very loud plane or jet going over, but nothing was in the sky and it went on for 10 minutes. Also the sound was coming from everywhere or at least everywhere outside. It didn’t fade away either. The spookiest thing was it just stopped suddenly. From the roar to absolute silence. Very strange.
